Collect and Study Rocks, Minerals & Fossils

We are the rockhounds of North-Western Wayne County, Michigan. We are located in suburban Detroit (Livonia, Northville, Plymouth, Canton, Westland area). The Roamin (ROck And MINeral) Club was founded in 1967 by a group of people interested in collecting and studying rocks, minerals, fossils, and lapidary arts.

If you're interested in geology or paleontology, attend a meeting and get acquainted with our members.
We meet one Wednesday evening of every month between September and May. Please see the "Meetings" tab for dates and details.

Meetings have moved for 2023. The new location is The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) Hall, 25300 Five Mile Rd., Redford, MI.  Meetings begin at 7:00 pm. The public is welcome to attend meetings, you do not need to be a club member.

We thank everyone who joined us meeting online via Zoom from 2020 - 2022.  We look forward to seeing you in-person.
Each year in the early Spring we have a two day long, rock and mineral auction to raise money for a scholarship fund that the Roamin Club sponsors at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan.
